We see the art of the child happily eating the meat, so this could be how Razael “began,” the process of becoming the Baba Yaga (or at least gaining a taste for the meat). We can assume this through the birdcage in the child’s bedroom (we see the drawing from the POV of inside the bars) and it’s mentioned that the cage is disfigured from having something too big in it. In regards to your last paragraph, I really believe that Razael was being trained up by the butcher, but that the treatment was somewhat cruel. Razael would have needed to kill someone who was the Baba Yaga to become the Baba Yaga (that is if he got a liking for meat).maybe the Butcher had bigger plans for the poor child and somewhere along the way things went wrong (since he is the "special child" in the game and the one with the most mystery.maybe the butcher was his cannibal mentor).on another side note there is the kid that speaks in portuguese but well he is a ghost (those that died not by the hands of the "Baba Yaga" become it). my brain hurty but you get what I mean.Īgain, I may be overthinking it.you tell me. The Chompettes who got killed by the "Cannibal" and were in a way "sane/human" had the first observation mentioned before (name thing) while those who became cannibalistic and later on got killed (when they were "evil/monster/cannibal" in the same manner as potato and Karin) did not.this means it could apply to the victims of the last observation mentioned before (Potato most likely had someone to show him how the "baba yaga" thing works, Karin was under the main characters mentorship.which leaves us Cornbread.which may as well be Razael, if the drawing of the crying child with the ghost tormenting is 100% a consequence of someone becoming the "Baba Yaga" (being haunted/attacked by ghost and stuff) same way as how the ghost also torments you the MC and you have to endure it.maybe that is why MC pities him and later released him from his torment.him being so young and all, question is does that mean that the "Butcher" still get haunted by the ghosts in "Potato form" not sure, but he acknowledges that the ghost will attack you (MC) because most likely he onced had to once when he was the "Baba Yaga". Here is a personal theory, but take it with a grain of salt. Only ones in which case the rules dont apply are Potato, Turnip (pressumably Karen but not sure), and Cornbread ("Razael"). Celina=Cabbage, Ryna=Raspberry, Oleg=Onion, and Bolek=Bread. I was just checking out the DLC and I noticed that the first initials of the vegetables names (the actual vegetables names) corresponds with some of the characters name. I just believe Razael (whether he is Cornbread or not) plays a much bigger role in this than we think. I have a lot of jumbled up thoughts on who they could be, but I’d love to hear others ideas. I have a feeling this links into the letters from the Chompettes origins- the ones from the (assumed) child, saying “kids are needed? I’ll bring him here on Sunday,” and “please tell me the secret,” and “I was good, I did a good job.” These all seem to hint that someone, a child, brought another child to the cabin so that they could learn the secret. This would mean Cornbread is someone else, using the name of Razael (the name fittingly meaning ‘keeper of secrets’). Personally I’m leaning towards Cornbread not being Razael at all- I believe he’s lying. Or b) Razael/Cornbread is Onion’s cousin, not Bread’s, as we have been told throughout the game. This means that either a) Razael is not Cornbread (since the MC didn’t correct Bread every other time he mentioned Cornbread as his cousin), even though he confirms his name is Razael in the ending. However, if you summon the Chompettes during your battle with Karin in the basement, the MC tells Bread “Razael was Onion’s cousin.” Cornbread is constantly mentioned as Bread’s cousin, and we later find out Cornbread is Razael. Something has really been bothering me in Cooking Companions.
